SIPLACE Material Setup Assistant. It speeds up the

setup process and prevents line stops caused by

protracted preparation activities.

material returns. The system automatically requests

missing materials from the warehouse.

The SIPLACE Material Setup Assistant “parks”

feeders that will still be needed for upcoming jobs in

the setup preparation area.

The feeder locations, their components and the

remaining quantities are fully transparent at all times.

When a setup change is coming up, the feeders

needed for the new setup blink. All the operators need

to do is take the appropriate feeders from the setup

preparation area.

To make things even easier, the target track for the

feeder is displayed on a monitor as soon as the feeder

is removed. This eliminates the need to manually

verify the setup with the help of printed checklists.

Production sequence scheduling

The Order Manager in the SIPLACE Material Setup

Assistant helps you to determine the most efficient

production and setup sequence. All it takes is a

single mouse click and it works also for multiple

lines.

Material reusability analysis

The software determines which materials will be

needed in upcoming setups so that they can be

temporarily “parked” in the active feeder rack.

Paperless and user-friendly interface

LEDs of feeders that will still be needed light up

green. The LEDs of feeders with material that can

be returned to the warehouse light up red.

Automated requests to the material

management system

Does the setup need more components from the

warehouse? No problem – the SIPLACE Material

Assistant requests them automatically.

In combination with the SIPLACE Material Manager

it can generate a list of missing materials as well as

a list of refill requirements, both of which can be

fulfilled with the help of a PDA – paperless and

automatically. Features like these reduce the space

requirements for feeders and feeder carts.
