ENABLING THE DIGITAL WORLD
AUTOMATED NOZZLE CLEANING SOLUTION
SIPLACE
Nozzle Cleaning Station
The nozzle is a vital component
with a high influence on the pick
and place process, and the effect
of a contaminated nozzle on this
process should not be
underestimated. With the ongoing
miniaturization of components, it
is vital that the nozzle tip and
shaft are free of any
contamination.
With the SIPLACE Nozzle
Cleaning Station, ASM has
not only developed a very
efficient cleaning process but
also automized it.
SIPLACE
Nozzle
Cleaning
Station
The SIPLACE Nozzle Cleaning Station combines
the benefits of fast and integrated cleaning of
ceramic nozzles for SIPLACE placement heads
C&P20 A/M, C&P20 P/M2, C&P20 P2, CPP and
CPP M.
Its central function is the cleaning of the nozzle tip
and shaft of contamination with minimalized
handling of the nozzles.
The cleaning of your nozzles happens in an
integrated and thorough setup with nozzles being
ready immediately after cleaning.
Your benefits at a glance:
▪ Prolonged life time of nozzles
▪ Reduced numbers of spare nozzles
▪ Easy to operate system
▪ Integrated closed loop cleaning solution
▪ Cleaning directly in the nozzle magazines
▪ Fast and reliable cleaning
▪ Nozzles ready immediately after cleaning

4-Step cleaning process
1. Nozzle tip cleaning
2. Nozzle tip rinsing
3. Nozzle shaft cleaning
4. Nozzle drying
Cleaning of contamination by using only water
like many nozzle cleaning systems do is not
through enough.
We have chosen 3 different solutions in order to
achieve a clean nozzle:
1. Nozzle tip cleaner including heating
2. Nozzle shaft cleaner including heating
3. Demineralized water
SIPLACE
Nozzle Cleaning Station
Integrated and modular setup
The SIPLACE Nozzle Cleaning Station provides
three slots in the top part which can be freely
configured for SIPLACE CP20x and CPPx
nozzle magazines.
The capacity of the machine can handle up to 3
cleaning modules of the same or different types
of nozzle magazines. Module exchange can be
completed within 2 minutes.
The cleaning runs in a closed loop system with
tanks in the bottom part providing space for all
cleaning liquids and the drainage. For the
cleaning each recirculation is equipped with a
5µ particle filter.
