BTU furnaces and reﬂow ovens are known worldwide for their quality construction, productivity and

long usable life. We are offering a Health Check service, which is essentially a “well visit” for BTU reﬂow

ovens and custom furnaces. During a Health Check, BTU system experts will perform mechanical checks

and inspections, test electrical subsystems – including all heater circuits, perform calibrations, and verify

all safety interlocks. Optional Oxygen analyzer calibration is available during the Health Check visit.

Health Check is offered regionally at a ﬁxed price by reﬂow oven model or standard furnace type,

making quotations/budgeting quick and easy. Customized quotes are available for non-standard

equipment types. Ask us about ﬂexible contracts for recurring annual Health Checks.

Mechanical Checks and Inspection

 Drive: motors, sprockets, chains, rails, rollers, bearings, belt

 Heated section: heaters, insulation, inner casing, gaskets

 Conveyor: return, belt guides, trays, flange rollers

 Gas system: circuits, flowmeters, solenoid valves, plumbing

 Cooler: heat exchangers, filters, fans

 Flux Management: condensers, plumbing, motor, filters

Electrical

 Heater circuits: fully test all heaters, solid state relays, and record current

 Blower motor controllers: verify static pressure and seal of each zone

 Alarms: comprehensive testing of each system alarm

 Program outputs: every output tested and recorded

 Switches and lamps: indicators tested

 Flux management: check timing circuit, motor, interlocks and static pressure

 SMEMA circuits: completely tested (If applicable)

Calibration

 Thermocouple inputs: Intellimax board, overtemp module and Profile Jacks

 Conveyor system: belt speed and rail width verification

 All calibrations and verifications are made using instrumentation calibrated to ISO

standards for full documentation and traceability

Safety and Validation

 Test all safety interlocks and alarms: low gas pressure, fan fail, conveyor fault, EMO,

low water flow, low water level, water leak detection, hood interlock, exhaust fail

 Testing of the over temperature protection circuit

 Verify UPS function and battery life

 Wincon control system files backed up to BTU’s protected servers

The output of the Health Check visit is the Health Check Report which

details every veriﬁcation and inspection performed and includes all calibra-

tion documentation. In addition, a quotation for any suggested service and/

or spare parts is provided to streamline maintenance planning. Any faults

that can be corrected during the course of the Health Check visit would be

completed at no additional charge.
