Improve high-speed hot melt adhesive spray dispensing and reduce
inventory and maintenance costs.
The Speed-Coat module provides accurate hot melt adhesive
delivery in high-speed intermittent production. A single-platform
design provides compatibility with Universal applicators. The
module accepts numerous spraying and coating technologies,
including CF®, Summit™, SureWrap™, Allegro™ and Control
Coat® spray nozzles; and MiniBead and Saturn® bead nozzles.
The pneumatically-actuated 25-millimeter-wide module
maximizes intermittent high-speed performance by providing
a minimum full cycle rate of 6 milliseconds (0.006 seconds),
depending on the application. The matched-to-module integral
solenoid valve delivers high performance and long life.
A retract-on-close feature, commonly called snuff-back, produces
sharp cutoff of leading and trailing pattern edges. Compatibility
with the Nordson OptiStroke™ needle stroke detection system
reduces product waste and confirms hot melt adhesive dispensing
performance.
The rebuildable Speed-Coat module helps reduce maintenance
costs and improve service life. Individual kits are available for seal
replacement and major sub-component rebuilding in the field.
Nordson also offers economical rebuild services through the ESP™
Equipment Services Program for factory-quality rebuilding.
A patented single-screw clamp permits quick nozzle replacement,
enabling fast changeovers and trouble-free cleaning. The module’s
commonality with high-speed slot coating designs leverages the
technology and reduces inventory requirements.
