2.1.6 Additional warning signs for the NAFTA region
The following figure shows the positions of the warning labels on the machine. They are made
from soft PVC film, and are abrasion-proof, light-fast and resistant to water and weathering. 2
The graphical symbols on the warning label correspond to the symbols defined in DIN 4844 and
SEMI S1-90, © SEMI 1986, 1996. 2

Æ Make sure that the warning labels are always clearly identifiable and easily readable.
Æ Replace any damaged or illegible warning or notice labels.
Æ Replace any labels that are missing.
