14.3.8.10. R-Axis Offset Calibration
If the recognized angle and placement angle of the R axis are different, the R axis error
cannot be compensated through the Vision. Therefore, the placement accuracy decreases.
Therefore, perform R axis offset calibration to minimize such error by compensating an
approximate value with the R axis motion data.
To perform this Calibration, first confirm that the CNT20 nozzle is installed in ANC Hole
No.1 before operation.
The following is the procedure to calibrate the ‘R-Axis Offset’:
1. If the CNT20 nozzle is not installed, click the <Nozzle Prepare> button to manually
insert the CNT20 nozzle into ANC Hole No.1.
2. If the <16. R-Axis Offset> is clicked after selecting the <Automatic Next> check box,
calibration is performed for the selected gantry automatically.
3. Recognize the 2 fiducial marks on the bottom surface of the calibration tool by using
the fly camera while rotating the head from -360 degrees to 360 degrees at 5 degree
intervals.

4. If the calibration procedure is completed for all heads normally, the result is displayed
as shown in the following figure.
The measurement result can be confirmed in the R Axis dialog box.

Memo The reference values for the calibration of the R-Axis Offset is as
follows.
Real Max(Min): The Max.(Min.) offset between command value
and calibration value
Head1~Head10 : -0.5 ~ 0.5 (deg)
Err Max(Min) The Max.(Min.) offset between compensation
value and calibration value
Head1~Head10 : -0.2 ~ 0.2 (deg)
