SIPLACE Setup Center Error Reporting allows the user to transmit information regarding system errors
to ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG. The following sections explain what kind of data is re

quired, why it is collected, and what the data are used for.
1. Why are error data collected?
Incoming information about occurred errors are used for the identification and trouble shooting of oc

curred errors in the the utilized software. The information will not be used for marketing purposes.
2. What type of data is collected?
In order to correct potential errors in the software, we require information about the settings of your
computer and the applications you used at the time the error occurred. The below section
“Information about the Type of Data Collected “ gives you an outline of the categories of the data
archived by us.
During the collection and documentation of information it is not uncommon that the report may con
-
tain personal or confidential data. For instance, a section of the memory could contain your name,
parts of a recently edited document or material that has been published in the internet a short time
ago. Furthermore, the possibility exists that personal information may be contained in a log file, in
certain parts of a directory or in or in other product specific files that are necessary for the identifica
-
tion of the error cause. If you are at all unsure about the content of the report, i.e. whether it may
contain personal or confidential information, we then advise you to better not send the report.
After submission of an error report, under certain circumstances we might ask you to fill out a ques
-
tionnaire. Answering the questionnaire is not obligatory. Should you submit an error report without
answering the questionnaire, your report will remain anonymous. If you choose to provide a tele
-
phone number or an email address, you may be asked for additional information required for error
recovery.
3. How are reports archived?
Any error report you submit will be protected through encryption as for example the Secure Soccer
Layer Protocol. In order to protect any personal information that you may supply, we additionally
work with a range of security technologies and methods. For instance, incoming error reports are
saved on computer server with extremely restricted access.
4. Who has access to archived error reports?
Only ASM employees, contractual partners and vendors with a business requirement are granted
access to the error reports. If an error report proves it apparent that a third-party component is part
of the problem, ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to submit the error report
to the involved third-party vendor, who in turn may notify his or her own vendors and partners.

5. Information about the type of data collected
The Error Reporting Service is an integral part of all products made by ASM Assembly Systems
GmbH & Co. KG and serves the purpose of documenting multiple errors. This section exemplifies
a few possible elements that could be documented as part of an error report without asserting the
claim for completeness. The type and amount of data is dependent on the seriousness of the error
and the required data contribution for error recovery.
Recently executed commands
Information about recently used commands or applications executed by the user or the software,
e.g.:
Problems you worked on when the error occurred
Menus or task bars you clicked on
Dialog boxes that were displayed when the error occurred
Networks
Information regarding your network connections, for example:
IP address (identifies the computer within the internet)
Names of recently visited internet sites
Information you published in the internet since then
Personal Computer Settings
Information about the hardware you use, for example:
Upgrades and components installed on your computer
Plug and Play Identification (PnP ID) and description of devices
Name/type of the machine
Name, type, model and manufacturer of the (operating) system
Available memory, hard disk size, number of processors
BIOS type and content
Registry data
Files
Names, output inventory and copies of current files, for example:
Your documents
User files
Configuration files
Setup protocols
Summary of network report
Diagnostic protocols
