User Manual X Feeder Modules SIPLACE Family 7
1Introduction
This manual provides technical information and describes how to operate the X feeders in the
SIPLACE® family.
1.1 Module Description
A new generation of feeder modules has been developed for the X-series of placement machines. Im-
portant features are the high precision of the pickup position, online programmability at the feeder mod-
ule and easy handling when changing feeder modules during the placement process. The power supply
to the feeder modules is contactless and uses an inductive interface on the component trolley docking
unit. Each feeder module communicates with the feeder module control unit (FCU) on the component
trolley docking unit via two optoelectronic channels (optical fiber). The feeder module control unit is, in
turn, connected to the machine's control unit via the CAN bus.
1.1.1 Serial Number of Module
The serial number is located on the type plate at one side of the module.
1.1.2 EU Declaration of Conformity
The product/device described conforms to the regulations and standards listed in the EU Declaration of
Conformity provided.
