New Default
Status display: orange
Cause: The feeder module software is automatically setting default parameters. This is
performed, for example, after loading new software and takes approx. 5 seconds.
Solution: Wait

EEP-ReadErr
EEP-ReadErr
Status display: red
Cause: Data was not read from the EEPROM correctly
Solution: Remove the tape. Acknowledge the error with the SET button. Then acknowledge
the request to perform a reference run with the yellow button. If this message con-
tinues to appear, you will need to replace the control board or the drive.
Comments: Since the position of the drive is stored in the EEPROM, a reference run is
necessary in these cases.

5.2.1.26 EEPROM Data Error
5.2.1.27 Scan Request
5.2.2 Messages From Process
5.2.2.1 Introduction
The following messages are only shown by the feeder module. The display text itself is generated by the
station computer and is then transmitted via the CAN bus to the LCD display of the feeder module. The
error source is therefore not in the feeder module but usually in the placement machine state. For exam-
ple, pickup or Vision errors, which affect the component of a particular track, will be displayed on the
feeder module for that track. The following table shows the LCD display text, the color and mode of the
status display, the cause and troubleshooting measures.

EEP-DataErr
EEP-DataErr
Status display: red
Cause: The data back-up in the EEPROM was not carried out completely
Solution: Remove the tape. Acknowledge the error with the SET button. Acknowledge the
prompt for a reference run with the yellow button.
If the message continues to appear, you will need to replace the control board or
the drive.
Comments: Since the position of the drive is stored in the EEPROM, a reference run is
necessary in these cases.

Scan Anford.
Scan Request
Status display: - - -
Cause: The request to perform scanning has been sent by the feeder module to the MC
(Machine Controller).
Solution: - - -
Comments: After the grey SET button has been pressed (1 sec.) the display shows the
Scan Anford. / Scan Request message for approx. 2 sec. to indicate that
the feeder module has sent a request for barcode scanning to the MC. If a barcode
system is active, the MC will then send the Scan Barcode display text to the
feeder module.

Low Filling
Status display:
Cause: Warning issued when fill level is too low
Solution: Splice on new component reel and update fill level.
Comments: This message is only shown if a component level indicator has been installed and
is active.

SpliceSensor
Status display:
Cause: Warning issued when the splice sensor is missing.
Solution: Provide a feeder module with splice sensor or switch off the component level indi-
cator in the station software, if this is not being used.
Comments: The splice sensor in a feeder module is only required by the placement machine if
a component on this track is subject to a component level indicator or traceability
function.

VisionFehler
Vision Error
Status display:
Cause: The component on this track has not been correctly recognized by the image
processing tool or the component is defective.
Solution: Check the geometry of the component with the Vision data
Comments: This requires an exact analysis of the pickup process, as this error message could
have several causes.
