4 Installing SIPLACE OIB 3.3
For details on how to install SIPLACE OIB refer to the chapters 3-9 of the “00197480-02_IM_SIPLACE-
OIB-3.3_EN.pdf” document.
5 New Features
5.1 Changes
The following changes have been made:
Support for the SIPLACE Pro 11.2, Monitoring 11.2, Setup Center 6.3, Traceability 3.6 SP 1
Please consult the SIPLACE OIB SDK documentation for object model changes.
5.2 New Functionality
The following features are new compared to the SIPLACE OIB V3.2 Version.
2 new SIPLACE Studio plug-ins replace the Operation Manager Plug-in (OIB Configuration Editor):
Factory Explorer: Shows Factory Layout and registered services
Subscription Admin: Shows WS-Eventing subscription data
Connection checks events in Setup Center Proxy
New X Feeder Cycle Count in Setup Center Events
The OIB 3.3 Setup Center Adapter supports Setup Center Version 6.3.
Setup Center 6.3 has the ability to read the cycle count of each division of an X-Feeder,
when it is placed on a station.
A prerequisite is, that the station software has to support this functionality, i.e. Version
707.1.
With the OIB 3.3 Setup Center Adapter or higher you get the X-Feeder Cycle Count data
with the FeederPlaced and InstantFeederPlaced events.
The information is stored in a new list of feeder divisions with the new property
CycleCount.
The station software will also calculate the pickups for each division. The calculated offset
will also be reported to Setup Center in the following cases:
1. Setup change (also partial setup download, if there is a difference in setup content)
2. Resynchronization between Setup Center and station after broken connection
3. Restart of Setup Center
The offset will be added to the CycleCount and reported to the clients.
New methods in Setup Center to Get and Update Packaging Units (not the PU Chain).
Display Service Viewer support on a line computer
Version Description
SIPLACE OIB 3.3 04/2014 Edition
16
It is now possible to install a Display Service Viewer on a normal (non-station) computer
(preferably the line computer). It can be registered for one SIPLACE Pro Line, only if at
that time the line control computer is connected to exactly one line only. In other cases
(Line Control Server is not connected or connected to more than one SIPLACE Pro line)
the registration will fail.
Customers may now choose to send messages to this viewer also. The viewer can either
be addressed explicitly or by line path.

5.3 Discontinued Features
The Support of the ITraceabilityOibService in the SDK will be discontinued. This means that the
SDK does not contain any interface artefacts for that interface anymore.
Caution:
Please check the support of the ITraceabilityOibService interface in the Traceability service
documentation. See the chapter Discontinued Features in the document 00197480-
The XML Import function in the SPI is discontinued starting in OIB version 3.0 and the usage will
throw an exception. This is due to potential wrong usage and the danger of corrupting your data.
The WSDL Interface files for the SIPLACE Pro SPI have been removed from the SDK content. The
recommendation is to use the SPI smart proxy instead.
The “OIB Configuration Editor” Operation Manager plug-in was removed. Please use the new
SIPLACE Studio plug-ins instead.
