2.5 Prerequisites
Prerequisites
Machines with vacuum pump have a higher energy and a lower compressed air consumption than ma-
chines without a vacuum pump (see "2.1 Energy and Compressed Air Consumption" [ ➙ 78]).
Adjust the power and compressed air supply to the relevant specifications.
The C&P20 A head must be converted for use with a vacuum pump using the vacuum pump operation
conversion kit for C&P20 A [00119790-xx] (see "3.2.20 Conversion for C&P20a" [ ➙ 107]).

2.6 Restrictions
Restrictions
The TwinHead and CPP placement heads are not compatible with vacuum pump operation.
The pressure control valve needs to be operated with compressed air for all placement heads.
The TwinHead is supplied via the pressure control valve. Conversion to vacuum mode is therefore not
possible.
In CPP heads, the hold circuit is not designed for vacuum operation.
NOTICE
Return cylinder unable to move out
Do not convert the pneumatic supply for the gantry affected to vacuum mode. If the compressed
air supply for this head is converted to vacuum operation, the return cylinder will be unable to
move out and the Z axis will remain in its top position.
