1.2 Precautionary Items before Maintenance
This session describes how to perform inspections, cleaning, lubrica-
tion, and adjustment to keep the machine in good shape.
It is recommended that periodic maintenance of the machine should
be ensured.
Before lubrication, inspections, or cleaning work,
note the following items.
• Be sure to turn off the power switch and air
source of the machine and lock the power breaker
using the padlock.
Refer to "Precautionary Measures before
Maintenance Work" for details.
• Only qualified personnel should operate the ma-
chine carefully, following the specified
instruction.
• After cleaning with a rag, be sure to remove the waste thread com-
pletely. Otherwise, the machine will break down.
• Wipe off old grease before lubrication. Otherwise, the effect of grease
will decrease.
• When air is used for cleaning, do not blow air to any spots other than
the specified ones.
If dispersed dirt and dust adhere to various sensors, the ball screws,
the linear guides, etc., it may result in a breakdown of the machine.
• When a pallet is replaced with another one, check for damages,
cracks, bends, etc., to avoid any machinery breakdown and perform
the cleaning.
