4.2 Protective Sensors
This session describes the main sensors that are provided for machine
protection.
4.2.1 [Ejected Pallet Detection] Sensor
When a pallet is not seated correctly in place, these sensors are acti-
vated to prevent the machine from being operated.

When this sensor has detected an error, the following
measures are taken.
• When an error has been detected during operation,
the elevator shaft decelerates and stops with the ser-
vomotor being tuned off.

4.2.3 [Missing Pallet (Return Position) Detection] Sensors
This sensor enables the operator to check if a pallet exists or not during
drawout and return operations.

When one of the left sensors has detected an error, the
following measures are taken.
• An error occurs when either one of the sensors de-
tects that a pallet is missing during pallet drawout
operation.
• An error occurs when either one of the sensors de-
tects that a pallet exists during pallet return opera-
tion.
