3.3 Lubrication

XY-shaft direct drive unit
Lubrication frequency:
Every 6 months
Tool to be used: Grease gun Grease to be used: 6459 Grease N
Where to lubricate
XY-shaft direct drive unit (grease nipple)
1) Use a grease gun to insert grease from the grease nipple of the XY-shaft direct drive unit.
Grease gun/nozzle to be used
40127626 GREASE_GUN
40127627 GREASE_GUN_NOZZLE
∗ Replace the nozzle that is assembled to the grease gun as standard shown above with the
GREASE_GUN_NOZZLE (40127627).
*Where to inject grease
LM guide grease nipple
X-shaft direct drive unit rail: four positions
on the top, bottom, right and left sides.
Y-shaft direct drive unit rail: four positions
on the top, bottom, right and left sides.
The grease for the LM guide is different from that for ball screws.
Do not use them in a mixed form.
CAUTION
To prevent the body from injury which can be caused by accidental activation of
the machine, cut off the power to the machine before starting to work.

Where to lubricate
X axis ball screw (grease nipple)
1) Use a grease gun to insert grease from the grease nipple of the X axis ball screw.

40106055 FLEXIBLE_NOZZLE
∗ The oil can be applied even when using the nozzle that is
assembled to the grease gun as standard shown above.
However, it is convenient to use the FLEXIBLE_NOZZLE
(40106055).
* Where to inject grease
Ball screw grease nipple
X/Y axis ball screws (at three locations)
The grease for the LM guide is different from that for ball screws.
Do not use them in a mixed form.
