6.2.14 Safety and Signaling Circuit
6.2.14.1 Emergency Stop Circuit (Safety Loop)
6.2 - 5: Safety loop
Following contacts are switched in serial and build the safety loop:
4 switches for protective hoods.
Switch for conveyor cover in input and output areas
Contact on component changeover table
Make sure that the emergency stop button is not pressed (input & output conveyor).
Feeder cover at each location
Description of emergency stop circuit:
When the emergency stop circuit is closed 24 V will be present. A further 24 V signal is sent as
EMER-
GENCY STOP circuit OK
to the CAN I/O module, indicating that the covers are all closed and that the
CO tables are connected.

6.2.14.2.1 Component Table Circuit
6.2 - 6: Component table circuit
The four CO tables are switched in series. If one or more tables are not connected, the contact will not
close and 24 V will not be present at the input of the CAN I/O module in sector 2 or 4. The station
software will report that one or more tables are not connected.

6.2.14.2.2 Cover Control Circuit
6.2 - 7: Cover control circuit
The cover control circuit consists of 6 contacts (4 main covers and 2 covers on the conveyors (input and
output)), which are switched in parallel mode. If one or more hoods/covers are open, the contact will
close and the 24 V will be present at the input of the CAN I/O module. The software will report that one
or more covers are not closed.
