6.3.3 Pneumatic unit
The pneumatic unit is a fixed installation inside the machine. The unit is accessible via a door and
contains the complete compressed air supply for all consumer devices.
The compressed air supplied (5 – 10 bar) is shown on the manometer for the incoming pressure and
flows through the filter to the proportional valve. The proportional valve regulates the compressed air for
all consuming devices to a consistent pressure of 5.0 bar:
C&P head (input vacuum generator for head min. 4.5 +0.1 gantry 1 - 4)
Compressed air CO table for locations 1 - 4 (docking and undocking)
Compressed air for nozzle changer
Safety valve for compressed air supply to conveyor (driver for width adjustment and lifting table)
Safety valve for compressed air supply to cutters (locations 1 - 4)
Adjustment valve for manual adjustment of bulkcase feeder air pressure, reduced to 2.5 +-0.5 bar
Legend
1. Main compressed air connection with shutoff
valve and manometer
2. 4x connection for bulkcase feeder with
manometer, adjustable (2.5 bar), location 1-4
3. 4x connection for cutters, location 1 - 4
(4.5 bar)
2x connection for conveyor lifting table
4. 4x Connection for nozzle changer (4.5 bar)
5. 4x connection for docking/undocking CO table
(4.5 bar)
6. Electronic control valve for incoming pressure
5.0 bar.
7. 4x connection for gantries 1 - 4, vacuum
generation C&P head with shutoff valves
8. Compressed air filter

6.3.3.2 Switch on Sequency Pneumatic Units
6.3 - 2: Switch on sequency pneumatic
The time to deactivate the prop. valve can be changed in station software
Settings
configure compressed air deactivation
switch off after 1-60 minutes
NOTE:
The proportional valve X89 is enabled as soon as the machine is switched on.
After the reference run is performed, Valve X89 is switched off with the help of
the software (standard time is 2 minutes).
