1 Introduction
This service guide is a manual or reference work for performing service work on the SIPLACE®
Head Care StationII.
1.1 Safety instructions
Knowledge of and compliance with the safety instructions contained in the user manual of the
SIPLACE Head Care Station II (HCS II) is a prerequisite for any service work on the HCS II. The
following safety notes are an extract from the safety instruction of the user manual for HCS II.
DANGER
Nonobservance of these safety instructions may cause injury to personnel and dam-
age to the HCS II!

WARNING
Safe operation of the Head Care Station (HCS)
Safe operation of the HCS depends absolutely on the operator being familiar with the user
manual and safety instructions and putting them into effect.
The HCS II cover is always locked during the test sequences as long as the stop or emer-
gency button is not pressed. It is not allowed to remove any cover or bypass the safety
devices/switches of the HCS II during operation.
