11. Remove the upper bearing retainer.

12. Remove the lower snap ring and collar.

13. Loosen the ball screw nut mounting bolt. (If it is difficult to tighten the two bolts at inner

side, remove the control board and bracket to have enough working space. And then,

tighten the bolts.)

Replacing the Z-axis ball screw

14. Loosen the nut to remove the guide shaft slowly. (Please be careful when removing

the guide shaft. The balls in the guide shaft bearing may drop out.)

15. Remove the upper/lower bearings. Remove the Z-axis up/down lever assembly and

ball screw (tilt the ball screw so that it can be removed). Be careful not to remove the

ball screw nut from the ball screw.

Replacing the Z-axis ball screw

3.2 Attaching the Z-axis Ball Screw

1. Prepare the new Z-axis ball screw, bearings (upper and lower) and the cir clip.

2. Set the ball screw and the Z-axis up/down lever assembly.

3. Attach the guide shaft and tighten the nut with 0.78 Nm torque.

4. Temporally tighten the four mounting bolts for the ball screw. It is easier to tighten the

bolts through the hole for mounting the bearing before attaching the bearing.
