3. Loosen the four coupling bolts connecting the Q-axis motor coupling bolts and small

gear.

4. Remove the two bolts fixing the Q-axis motor, and then remove the motor.

5. Remove the cable ties used to secure the wires (3 locations)

6. Use the pin extractor jig (1276716-1, 234168-1) to extract the Q-axis motor power and

encoder wire terminals from the connector.

7. Removing the Q-axis motor is now complete.

Replacing the Q-axis motor

5.2 Attaching the Q-axis Motor

Note: Be sure to prepare a replacement motor with terminals attached.

1. Insert the motor’s power and encoder wires in the connector. Refer to the diagrams

below in order to insert the wires in the correct location.

Note: After inserting the wires pull them to check that none of the pins are loose in

the connector.

2. Attach the Q-axis motor with the two bolts. (Use a flat washer in addition to the bolts

and spring washers.)
