FCM Multiflex
This Operating manual serves two goals.
1.Provide a thorough overview of all safety issues of the FCM Multiflex.
2. Provide a quick overview of the actions needed to run production on the
FCM Multiflex.
For more detailed information regarding operation or servicing, please refer
to the USER REFERENCE or SERVICE manuals of the machine. This manual
covers the FCM Multiflex to which we will refer as FCM, for better reada-
bility.

Safety
CHAPTER 1 Safety
1.1 General
For the correct and safe use of the FCM, it is essential that all personnel
follow generally accepted safety procedures in addition to the safety
precautions specified in this operating manual. This manual has warning
and cautionary statements throughout the whole manual where applicable.
Warnings and cautionary statements and/or symbols are present on the
system where applicable.
1.2 Personnel Qualification
Operation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of the FCM may only be
carried out by qualified and trained personnel.
The following training levels are defined:
■ Operator level.
■ User or supervisor level.
■ Maintenance or Service level 1.
■ Maintenance or Service level 2.

1.3 Basic Safety Rules
1. When the FCM is switched off by the main switch, this switch must
always be locked by a padlock!
2. Do not use the machine in an environment where flammable gasses are
present or where the dust class exceeds 100,000 (average industrial envi-
ronment).
1.4 Safety Compliance
The safety of the FCM complies with CE directives (for details see Decla-
ration of Conformity).
