2.3.3.2 Dispense Separation Speed/Dispense Normal Speed
Dispense Separation Speed/Dispense Normal Speed sets the speed of the dispense lift actions.
Dispense Separation Speed during lift-off, following the dispense separation delay, the Z Axis
motor controller moves the nozzle from the dispense height to idle height. This can be any value
between 0.1mm/s and 20mm/s.
Dispense Normal Speed sets the speed of the Z Axis during all other movements.
2.3.3.3 Z-Axis Material Reverse Height/Z-Axis Material Reverse Speed
Z-Axis Material Reverse Height/Z-Axis Material Reverse Speed is used to set up the height and
speed of the dispense nozzle reverse movements. These movements occur sequentially. To dis-
able simultaneous lift and rotate set the parameters to zero.
mm
Z-Axis Material Reverse Height sets the z-axis/auger movement. If this value is greater than zero
there is a simultaneous lift movement combined with a rotation of the auger in the reverse direction.
Z-Axis Material Reverse Speed sets the speed of the reverse lift.

2.3.3.4 Purge After Downtime
Purge After Downtime allows a purge to be performed after the start of the downtime period. the
purge only occurs once, on pre programmed locations (sacrificial sites), during a single period of
downtime, to clear the Stinger nozzle.
2.3.3.5 Stinger Idle Height
Stinger Idle Height setting is the height the nozzle returns to after dispensing and before moving
to the next site. This position is automatically set.
2.3.3.6 Stinger Dispense
Stinger Dispense allows the user to enable or disable Stinger functionality.

2.3.3.7 Purging Location
Purging Location controls the location where purging occurs, either on the board or at the purge
station. A location on the board should have enough free space to accommodate the purge mater-
ial. On board purging can be carried out on a non-product item.
2.3.3.8 Material Feed Speed/Material Reverse Speed
Material Feed Speed/Material Reverse Speed is used to set up the speeds of the dispense auger
rotation. Expressed as a percentage, the speed ratios can be set from 1 to100%.
Material Feed Speed is the speed as a percentage of the total motor capability. This speed can be
adjusted to meet increased cycle time or material needs. Materials with higher viscosities may
need a slower auger speed whilst an increase in speed gives better cycle times.
Material Reverse Speed sets the speed as a percentage of the total motor capability. Reversing
the direction that the auger moves draws the adhesive back up the nozzle. Drawing the material
back up the nozzle, as the dispense ends, helps to prevent conditions such as trailing or stringing
(see Error Recovery for detail).
