Board warpage during placement
To avoid impairing the placement quality and
speed, we recommend using a PCB support, so
that the PCB warpage downwards does not
exceed 0.5 mm.

SIPLACE TX m
The TX m component trol-
leys are independent and
easily maneuverable mod-
ules. Two component trol-
leys, each with 40 tracks, can
be docked onto SIPLACE TX
m machines. The tape reels
are taken up into the tape
container of the component
trolley. A cutting device on
the machine automatically
cuts up the used tape mate-
rial. The component trolleys
can be set up directly on the
machine or at an external
setup area with feeder mod-
ules. The benefits of offline
setup are that the configura-
tions can be prepared with-
out stopping the line.
This allows the setup change
to be realized very quickly,
using the changeover table
principle, to rapidly change
the component trolleys.
The SIPLACE TX m compo-
nent trolleys also support fast
setting up and tearing down
of feeder modules even
during the placement pro-
cess.
Tapes can be spliced without
stopping the machine.
For safety reasons, unoccu-
pied locations are fitted with
so-called dummy feeder
modules.

SIPLACE SmartFeeder X / Xi
SIPLACE SmartFeeder X/Xi
are intelligent tape feeder
modules for flexible produc-
tion environments, which
simplify upgrading and con-
version tasks considerably.
Since all SIPLACE Smart-
Feeder X/Xi support tape
splicing as a standard, this
prevents machine stoppages
when refilling.
The benefits at a glance:
Conversion-friendly
• Omega profiles on the
tape feeder module and
table facilitate safe and
reliable upgrading and
conversion of tape feeder
modules during ongoing
production.
Robust
• Brushless motors extend
the service life of the
SIPLACE SmartFeeder X/
Xi.
Intelligent
• A unique ID ensures a pre-
cise assignment of the
component to the
SIPLACE SmartFeeder X/
Xi. This makes reliable
setup verification very sim-
ple.
• Component pitch, feeder
speed and other functions
are automatically set
when the setup program is
downloaded.
High feeding accuracy
• Closed loop control path
measurement ensures
highly accurate compo-
nent feeding, even for
0201 (metric) placements
with standard feeders.
Operator-friendly
• Contactless data and
power transmission make
it easier to attach/remove
the SIPLACE SmartFeed-
er X/Xi
• A multicolor status display
signals the operating sta-
tuses of the SIPLACE
SmartFeeder X/Xi.
