l Rinse fluxer head:
You can also rinse the flux applicator head in order to rinse any flux residues or bubbles of air from the appli-
cator hose, for example. This will prevent the dispensing hose and the centering nozzle hardening and will
prevent air bubbles causing errors during application of the flux.
Click on the
Rinse fluxer head
button and press the start button. The rinsing head moves above the rins-
ing container and dispenses the contents of the syringe into the rinsing container.
The rinsinging container is located next to the ejected components container (see Fig. 11.7.10, Page 11 -
47).
l Initialize fluxer head:
It is possible to make a reference run with the fluxer head.
Click on the
Initialize fluxer head
button and press the start button. The fluxer head will carry out a refer-
ence run.

11.8 Remote Service
11.8.1 General Comments
In the event of an error / fault, Remote Service enables service personnel from Munich, Singapore and
Alpharetta to access system data on the line computer, station computer, machine controller or a GEM host, if
there is one, from a SIPLACE line or machine on the customer’s premises.
This allows the service engineers to localize and correct on-line software and data problems in the customer‘s
system. This feature also makes for better, problem-oriented planning of any servicing visits to the customer,
thereby keeping servicing time to the minimum.
11.8.2 Safety Information
DANGER
If movements of machine components are initiated remotely, the customer‘s trained line engineers must be
present at the machine. In addition, the line engineer must be able to communicate by telephone with the
engineer who is initiating these movements from the service center.
- You should read and comply with the general safety instructions given in Section 1 'Operational Safety' of
this manual.
