11.11 Feeder Position Recognition
11.11.1 General
The feeders can be measured if they are equipped with fiducials.
This function also supports the wafflepack magazine holder (manual tray holder) if it is equipped with fiducials.
If the "Feeder position recognition" function is preset by the line computer, then this function will appear in the
machine options.
In the machine options you can also activate or deactivate feeder position recognition at the station con-
cerned.

The "Feeder position recognition" function is always switched off when the station is switched on.

If the user data contains an entry for a track, the position of the centering fiducial on the feeder concerned is
approached with the PCB camera. Any centering fiducial offset identified during the measuring process is
then allocated to this track and is added to the pick-up position during the pick-up operation.
11.11.1.1 Restrictions
- The feeder position recognition function cannot be used for magazine holders that are set up in the waf-
flepack changer.
- Up to three fiducial positions can be defined for each feeder.
- Feeder fiducials on the right side of the table (viewed in the transport direction) cannot be measured on the
80F.
PLEASE NOTE:
This restriction does not apply to machines with "Under-gantry camera".
- If there is a feeder at location 118 and the fiducial position of the outer pick-up compartment is closer to the
traveling range limit of the x axis than the pick-up position, then the 8 mmS tape and bulk case feeder can-
not be measured.

11.12 Nozzle Changer for the 6x Revolver Head
11.12.1 Overview
The nozzle changer is used in SIPLACE 80F

automatic placement machines. The nozzle changer has a
modular structure and consists of at least 1 and up to 5 magazines.
There are always 6 nozzle garages on these magazines (see Fig. 11.12.1). The magazines are placed on a
common support located in the space between the PCB transport and the feeder modules (see Fig. 11.12.1).
The positions of the magazines with respect to one another are determined by two locating pins.
Magazines for 7xx nozzle types and magazines for 8xx nozzle types can be fitted. The magazines can be
arranged as required.
