1.9 Cleaning the Filter Regulator (Every Week)
Point
The air flowing within the pneumatic piping needs to be clean at all times.
A dirty filter element may make it impossible to supply clean air and lead to equipment
breakdown.
Procedure
WARNING
Turn off the main power before carrying out this procedure.
Release all compressed air from the air system.
1. Close the air intake valve to disconnect the external compressed air source.
2. Release the compressed air from the machine air lines.
Disconnect the air hose and slowly open the valve to release the compressed air.
3. Close the valve lever again when the air has been fully expelled.

Next remove the filter case and clean the filter element.
1. Disconnect the drain hose from the regulator if there is any.
2. Remove the filter case.
While pressing the lock down, turn to remove the filter case.
3. Remove the drainage collected in the filter case and wash the case with neutral
detergent.
4. Remove and clean the element.
Note: The element should be replaced every 2 years.
Assemble the filter regulator after cleaning, attach the air-hose, and open the valve lever
fully.

1.10 Changing the Nozzle Filter (Every 3 Months)
Point
The filter inside of the shaft-axis becomes dirty with use, and as a general rule should be
replaced with a new one every three months.
Procedure
WARNING
Turn off the 200 V servo power before carrying out this work.
1. Remove the nozzle holder. (Refer to Part 5, Chapter 1. Placing Heads.)
2. Take out the filter with a pair of tweezers.
