1.10 Changing the Nozzle Filter (Every 3 Months)
Point
The filter inside of the shaft-axis becomes dirty with use, and as a general rule should be
replaced with a new one every three months.
Procedure
WARNING
Turn off the 200 V servo power before carrying out this work.
1. Remove the nozzle holder. (Refer to Part 5, Chapter 1. Placing Heads.)
2. Take out the filter with a pair of tweezers.

Precautions During Lubrication
1. Prior to beginning any work be sure to turn the main power breaker OFF.
2. Apply an appropriate amount of lubricant. If too much lubricant is applied the
lubricant will splatter and may drop on the boards or inside the machine. In
particular if the camera lens is dirtied this will lead to trouble such as vision
processing errors. If this happens use a lens cleaner to clean the lens.
Types of Lubricant
The lubricants that are used have the following properties.

This is a spray type oil that is used as a lubricant in areas
such as the conveyor ballscrew, shaft components and
other moving parts that travel at a relatively slow speed and
upon which a relatively low load is exerted.
This is a lithium-based grease (Idemitsu) that is used as a
lubricant on moving parts that travel at moderate speeds.
This is a lithium-based grease (Kyodo Yushi) that is used as
a lubricant on moving parts that travel at moderate speeds.
This is a lithium-based grease (Kyodo Yushi) that is used as
a lubricant on moving parts that travel at high and moderate
speeds.
This is a high grade synthetic oil based grease (THK) is
used as a lubricant moving parts that travel at high speeds.

Grease Gun Kit
A grease gun kits with which grease supply for almost all Fuji equipment can be
performed is available from Fuji. The grease gun kit comes with all the nozzles required
to apply grease to the various grease fitting formats. To obtain the grease gun kit, please
contact your Fuji agent.
