2. Common Precautionary Items
Be sure to observe precautions below when working with the device.
Be sure to strictly keep the above-mentioned instructions. Otherwise, not only wrong
operations of the machine but also personal injury will result.
Basic Precautions
Only a well-trained person should operate the machine.
Do not allow any untrained person to operate the machine.
Mishandling of the machine can cause a serious accident.
Before operating the machine, please read the instruction manual carefully for correct
operations.
Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place within reach.
Follow the instructions in the instruction manual for correct handling of the machine.
Be sure to fully understand the contents of the safety instructions in the instruction
manual and follow the instructions.
Please pay special attention to the precautionary items labeled on the machine or
described in the instruction manual and be sure to keep them.
When the precautionary
items are ignored, it will result in personal injury or property damage (damage to the
machine).
Be sure to follow the operational instructions described in the instruction manual.
Do not modify the machine nor use any parts other than the specified ones for the
machine. Be sure not to use the machine with its safety devices detached. Doing
otherwise may cause personal injury
.
Also, be sure not to change the setting of the operating system nor install any software
additionally
.
Do not perform any operations other than those described in the instruction manual.
Whenever a problem arises, regarding the machine operations, performance, etc.,
please contact the marketing department or sales agency of Hitachi High-Technologies
for the solution.
Although the precautionary items have been reviewed repeatedly, an incident far
beyond our expectation may occur
.
Not only follow the precautionary instructions described in the instruction manual but
also try to handle the machine carefully at your discretion all the time.

Precautions before Use
Confirm that no covers are disengaged before operating the machine.
If the machine is used with its cover(s) being detached, a serious accident may
occur.
Be sure to attach them in place.
Before turning on the power supply to the machine, make certain that no
per
son or object comes in contact with the moving mechanisms of the machine
so as to avoid any accidental injuries.
Do not start the machine unless those working in the immediate area of the
machine are aware of hazards from moving parts.
Do not set the [OPERATION/SET UP] switch to the "SET
UP" side for any
operations other than setup purposes.
When the switch is set to the "SET UP" side, setup operations become
possible with the door being open. It is very dangerous to operate the machine
without safety check. Be sure to pay special caution while operating the
machine.
The key shall be kept removed (excluding the time of setup operations) and
stored by the person in charge.
With the exception of industrial use alcohol, do not use cleaning solvents.
In particular, be sure not to use gasoline by mistake as it is highly flammable.
As industrial alcohol is flammable, be sure to keep it away from any possible
sources of fire as it is likely to ignite and start a fire.
Keep away from fire.
A
void smoking and using fire when near the device.
Industrial alcohol can cause poisoning, skin inflammation, or degreasing.
T
ry to wear goggles, protective gloves, a protective mask, etc., to protect
against spills on exposed skin.
Before starting the machine and after a setup operation, be sure to check if
any industrial alcohol is leaking from a crack of the hose joint or the hose itself
running between the solvent tank and the cleaning nozzle.
Do not operate the machine while industrial alcohol is leaking. Otherwise, the
leaking alcohol may catch fire easily.
Refer to "2.1 Daily Maintenance" and "4.5 Checking of Industrial Alcohol Hose
and Joints" in "Chapter 1 (Vol. 4)" for the areas to be checked.
Whenever a leakage is found, contact our service person.

Do not change the set pressure of the regulator that is used to pressurize the
solvent tank.
(Regulator Set Pressure: 0.015 MPa)
If more than the specifi
ed pressure is applied, the tank may explode.
Be sure to wear suitable clothes for working so as to avoid any injuries.
Try to bundle your hair in ponytail or a braid. Otherwise, your hair might get
caught in the moving mechanisms of the machine.
Be sure to fasten the buttons on your clothes (especially sleeves) to avoid
getting caught in the moving mechanisms of the machine.
Even after the [EMERGENCY STOP] switch is pressed, note that electrical
power is supplied to the control device.
T
o shutdown the power to all loads, set the power breaker to "OFF".
When an "Emer
gency Switch Off" function is required, it must be prepared outside the
machine on the customer side.
Emergency Switch Stop :
Emergency Interception of Controlled Load Power
Sources
Emergency Switch Off
: Emergency Interception of All Load Power Sources
In principle, the overall operation of the machine including the button
operations on the operation panel and the touch screen must be controlled by
only one person.
If there are more than one, ensure good communication by giving loud verbal
instructions.
Attach the internal lid of the solvent tank and tighten the cap securely.
If the cap gets loose, adequate pressure may not be applied or the solvent
may leak out.
Before starting the automatic operation, check carefully that there is no person around
the machine (especially on the other side of the machine operation). Make sure that no
objects (tools, parts, etc.) are left behind.
Data may become unavailable due to breakdown or mishandling of the machine.
It is strongly recommended that the compact fl
ash (CF) memory data be periodically
backed up with the network terminal (option).
