2. Attachment and Detachment of Tapes
• Taking TF-0810 as an example, these procedures are here described.
The same procedures apply to the other tape feeder models except for
those given special descriptions.
When proceeding with a tape feeders of 12
mm width or more, mount it onto the
attached feeder set jig.

(1) Attach the reel by the reel fulcrum pin.
Make sure that there is no dirt (or powder
caused by reel abrasion) on the reel fulcrum
pin.
If dirty, clean it with a rag or air gun.
If the tape is fed while soiled by reel
abrasion, it might stick to the greased
section and so cause a pick-up error.

(2) Make sure there is no dirt on the tape
end detection reflector.
Clean any adhered foreign substance, using
air-blow or brush.
Refer to "5.3.2 Maintenance in Tape Attach-
ment and Product Change" for details of
cleaning.
If there is any dirt on the tape end detection reflector, the tape
end might not be detected.

(4) Detach the suppressor holding lever
from the suppressor hook section.
At that time, slide the suppressor holding
lever while pressing on its lower part.
