Have on hand the following items for cleaning the cutting room.
Soft cloth
Soft brush
Tweezers
Brush
Fine-grained oilstone
Alcohol
Neutral detergent
Waterproofing tape
Protective gloves
Safety goggles

Procedures for cleaning the water case exterior
WARNING
- If your fingers or hands are placed under a rotating spindle, they
may be caught or cut off.
Before opening the splash cover, visually make sure the spindle
stops completely from the outside of the cover. Also, do not position
your fingers or hands beneath a rotating spindle.
- When you make air blow air for cleaning purpose, be sure to wear
safety goggles because broken workpiece, cutting particles or
drained water may get in your eyes.
CAUTION
If you clean the wheel cover with a blade mounted, the blade may be
broken during cleaning.
Before cleaning the wheel cover, remove the installed blade.

Press the <System Initial> button to effect system initialization.

From outside of the splash cover, visually make sure that the
spindle is stopped.

If any blade is attached to the spindle section, remove it.

Wear protective gloves and safety goggles.

Open the splash cover and arm section cover.

With a cloth moistened with neutral detergent, wipe off any dirt
and water from the following sections.
- Around the chuck table
- Around the water case
- Splash cover inner surface
- Around the Z1- and Z2-axis spindles
- Wheel cover
- Microscope section cover
Clean thoroughly the wheel cover and splash cover front face
especially, because they are usually heavily contaminated with
the cutting particles or so on.

Remove water from the chuck table upper surface by blowing air
over it.

With a cloth moistened with alcohol, wipe clean the metal
portion on the upper surface of the chuck table, and blow air over
it to remove water.
9
If the upper surface of the table is soiled, scratched, burred or
otherwise flawed, smooth it out with a fine-grained oilstone.
10
Close the splash cover and arm section cover.
