2-2. Replacing the Solenoid Valve
Operation flow
The procedure for replacing the solenoid valve consists of the following steps.
2-2-1 Removing the machine outer cover
2-2-2 Replacing the solenoid valve
2-2-3 Completion of replacing the solenoid valve
Before replacing
Have on hand the following items before replacing.
3mm Allen wrench
Phillips screwdriver
10mm wrench
12mm wrench
14mm wrench
17mm wrench

2-2-1. Removing the machine outer cover
Procedures for removing the machine outer cover
CAUTION
When you perform maintenance with the outer cover removed,
observe the following precaution. If you stand the removed outer
cover against the machine, you may receive injury by the cover if it is
toppled by the earthquake or like that.
After taking off the outer cover for maintenance purposes, store it
sufficiently away from the working area.

Turn OFF the main switch and then remove the key.

On the I/O CHECK screen, open or close the solenoid valve to be
replaced.
- For the I/O CHECK screen;
see the section C-4, [Sensor/Solenoid Valve Check].

Turn OFF the circuit breaker at the rear of the machine. Lock out
the circuit breaker lever with a padlock or the like.

Shut off the facility power supply.
5
Close the facility main valves of the supply lines for the air,
wheel coolant water and spindle coolant water.

Remove the covers [A] and [B]. Then store them sufficiently
away from the working area.
