2-2-1. Removing the machine outer cover
Procedures for removing the machine outer cover
CAUTION
When you perform maintenance with the outer cover removed,
observe the following precaution. If you stand the removed outer
cover against the machine, you may receive injury by the cover if it is
toppled by the earthquake or like that.
After taking off the outer cover for maintenance purposes, store it
sufficiently away from the working area.
Step No. Do This

Turn OFF the main switch and then remove the key.

On the I/O CHECK screen, open or close the solenoid valve to be
replaced.
- For the I/O CHECK screen;
see the section C-4, [Sensor/Solenoid Valve Check].

Turn OFF the circuit breaker at the rear of the machine. Lock out
the circuit breaker lever with a padlock or the like.

Shut off the facility power supply.
5
Close the facility main valves of the supply lines for the air,
wheel coolant water and spindle coolant water.

2-2-2. Replacing the solenoid valve
Procedures for replacing the solenoid valve
WARNING
If water or air remain in the pipe, it may leak from the tube when you
remove the tube from the joint of the solenoid valve.
Therefore, care must be taken on the removing of the tube.

Disconnect the tube from the solenoid valve joint.
