Safety precautions for flange/hub mount replacement
CAUTION
- If you try to replace the flange or hub mount without displaying the
BLADE REPLACEMENT screen [screen 4.1], you would fail to
make replacement operation properly.
Before starting replacement of flange or hub mount, call up and
display the BLADE REPLACEMENT screen [screen 4.1].
- When you try to replace the flange or hub mount while air supply to
the machine is stopped, the spindle may be damaged.
Do not replace the flange or hub mount while air supply is stopped.
Also, before replacement, call up and display the BLADE
REPLACEMENT screen [screen 4.1].
Air supply will be stopped in the following cases:
* When the main switch has been turned OFF.
* When time has elapsed over the <Wait time for energy saving>
specified on USER DEFINE DATA screen [screen 7.4].
- When you replace the blades from the flange type to the hub type
or vice versa, you need to adjust the nozzle position of the wheel
cover after replacement.
Improper nozzle position could result in damage to workpieces or
the machine, or deterioration of cutting precision. Since the nozzle
position should vary depending on the installed blade, please
contact your nearest Disco office to get correct information.
NOTICE
- Each flange and hub mount has intrinsic balance.
Never change the specified combinations of the flangeA and B, or
that of the hub mount and hub lock nut.
- Neither safety goggles, protective gloves, stepstools, flashlights nor
alcohol, all of which are necessary for maintenance work, are not
supplied with the machine. Use what are furnished in your factory or
what comply with your factory's standards.
