7.1 UPS Option

Description
The UPS (APC 620 SC) is an option for the ASM ProcessLens. It is used to prevent data loss in
case of a machine power failure (e.g caused by a facilities breakdown). By using the UPS, the
machine will force the PC to auto save and auto shutdown.
After the installation, whenever the machine is switched on or off, you need to press the UPS
power button. If you power on the machine without pressing the UPS power button, it will not power
up the PC even though the main power switch of the machine is already turned on.
When shutting down, you have to press the power button of the UPS after the machines is turned
off with the main switch.
7.2 External barcode scanner

Description
The external barcode scanner is used to automatically record and decode barcodes on PCBs. The
external barcode scanners are installed on the input conveyor extension on the input side of the
solder paste inspection machine on the PCB conveyor. Depending on the position of the barcode
strips, the barcode scanner can be attached in a few simple steps so that the strips can be read
parallel to or across the PCB transport direction.
When using single lane conveyors, two board barcode readers can be retrofitted. These can either
scan the top or bottom of the boards.
When using dual lane conveyors, four board barcode readers can be retrofitted. These can scan
both the top or bottom of the boards on both conveyor lanes.
