1 Introduction
These operating instructions provide a manual or reference work for operating and setting up the
placement machines for the SIPLACE
®
X4I / X4 / X3 and X2 placement machines.
The header of each chapter contains the release and software version, to which this manual ap-
plies.

1.1 Description of the machine
The SIPLACE X4I, X4, X3 and X2 placement machines are characterized by:
– Extremely high precision
– Highly flexible configuration
– Placement rates up to the high-end process range and
– A broadly-based component range from 01005 components through to 125 x 10 mm².
