1.2.2 SIPLACE line and software solutions
SIPLACE offers holistic solutions based on modular software tools for SMT machine, line and pro-
duction management: the SIPLACE software suite.
1.2.2.1 Product definition, optimization and line control
Fast, fault-free introduction of products and optimum utilization of production lines are essential to
maximize production output. The programs from the SIPLACE software suite allow you to easily
program products, fine-tune the programs you have created and then find the balance for them
within your SMT production lines.
1.2.2.2 Production monitoring & process control
To achieve the production targets that are set, it is important to constantly monitor and check the
production facilities. The SIPLACE software suite contains monitoring products tailored to suit the
user group. These signal immediately if limits are exceeded on the machine or the production line.
1.2.2.3 Setup verification & traceability
Setup errors lead to series errors. The user-friendly SIPLACE software programs help you to
avoid such errors, and thus ensure high quality in your electronics production.
1.2.2.4 The benefits of the SIPLACE software suite at a glance:
Fast programming and error detection
Reduces changeover times and stoppages
Ensures optimum utilization of your production line's productivity
Real-time information from the production area
Incredibly fast distribution of information
Optimum use of resources
Timely notification when production materials need to be re-ordered
Coordination of maintenance measures

1.3 Qualification and training of personnel
Personnel used for operation, preventive maintenance, inspection and installation must hold the
relevant qualifications for the job. The user must keep tight control over their responsibilities, as-
signment and supervision. Any employee who does not have the relevant training must be trained
and given appropriate instruction. The instruction is to be given by trained and authorized person-
nel.
To train your employees, we can provide courses at our training centers around the world and in
many different languages. On-site training is also possible.
Our courses have a modular structure, and can be tailored to individual needs.
PLEASE NOTE 1
Please note:
No one may start up, operate or otherwise work on the machine unless they have the relevant
qualification.
The qualification must be proven by means of training courses or instruction for the person-
nel.

1.4 Operator levels
Certain functions or menus may only by used or called by appropriately trained personnel. There
are three different operator levels:
Basic production
Advanced production
Machine service
Service (SIPLACE)
The "Advanced production" and "Machine service" operator levels can be protected with a pass-
word. The SIPLACE operator level is already password-protected.
Basic production 1
This operator level consists of any person who has been trained in operation of the machine.
These people are authorized to use any functions associated with operating the machine and may
call up any menus needed to use the machine.
Advanced production 1
People from this operator level have attended special training courses and are authorized to carry
out line engineer activities, such as creating set-up configurations or determining vision parame-
ters, etc.
Machine service 1
People on this operator level are specially-trained technicians on the customer's premises who
can set machine options, for example.
Service (SIPLACE) 1
People on this operator level are trained to carry out servicing work and to upgrade and retrofit the
placement machine.
