5.7.4 White indicator lamps
There is one white lamp on each side. Each lamp is controlled separately.
The white lamps signal
– that a warning
a
or alarm
b
was output (as specified in the operator FRS (Feature Require-
ments Specification) for the machine software).
– The type of warning or alarm.
– The location on the machine concerned.
5.7.4.1 Locations
a) The warning is a message to inform the operator about an error that will soon require the operator's in-
tervention. The operator can ignore the message for a certain time. After this time, the message will be
output as an alarm.
b) An alarm is a message that indicates that the machine was paused / stopped. Operator intervention is required
immediately.
Associated lamp Associated location
Left-hand lamp A module on the left-hand side of the conveyor, such as:
–Table
–MTC
– Feeder module
– Waffle-pack tray carrier
– Nozzle changer
– Gantry, if there are two gantries per placement area
– A head or part of the head (segment, nozzle, etc) if there
are two gantries per placement area
– A conveyor track in a dual conveyor configuration
– A PCB in a dual conveyor configuration (exception: prob-
lems with fiducials)
– An electronics card that is accessible on this side of the
machine.
In this case, the other lamps remain unchanged.
On a four-gantry machine, these are the sides numbered 3 and 4.
Right-hand lamp A module on the right-hand side of the conveyor, as for the left-
hand lamp.
On a four-gantry machine, these are the sides numbered 1 and 2.

5.7.4.3 Priorities

If, at the same time,
– an alarm is signaled on the left or right, and
– a warning was not allocated to any side of the machine,
the warning will not be displayed as it has lower priority and both lamps are needed, but one is
already being used for the alarm.
The two lamps are
synchronized
A module with no reference to a specific side of the machine, such
as:
– General machine error that cannot be assigned to a spe-
cific side (example: the entire conveyor is no longer re-
sponding).
– Conveyor track in a single conveyor configuration.
– PCB in a single conveyor configuration.
– PCB fiducials in both single and dual conveyor configura-
tions.
– Gantry, if there is one gantry per placement area.
– A head or part of a head (segment, nozzle, etc) if there is
one gantry per placement area.
In this case, the lamps flash simultaneously as though they were
connected in parallel.

Status Meaning
Off No warning and no alarm
Flashing Warning; the frequency varies according to the type of warning
On Alarm
Status Priority
Alarm is not allocated to a specific side of the machine. 1 - highest
Alarm is allocated to the left or right-hand side. 2 - high
Warning is not allocated to a specific side of the machine. 3 - low
Warning is allocated to the left or right-hand side. 4 - lowest

If, at the same time,
– an alarm is signaled on the left-hand side, and
– there is a warning for the right-hand side,
both messages will be displayed as there is no conflict here.
If a warning of the same frequency is output for each side of the machine, the lamps should never
be synchronized.
If different types of warning are output at a lamp at the same time, the following priorities apply:

5.7.4.4 Status displays
5
Type of warning Priority
Definition for rapid flashing highest
Definition for normal flashing medium
Definition for brief flashing lowest
Status Meaning
Off No warning and no alarm for this side
and
No warning and no alarm for a module that is not allocated to this
side.
A lamp flashes briefly A component that is made available via several feeder modules or
MTC levels (redundant set-up) is empty at exactly one feeder
module or MTC level.
A lamp flashes rapidly A component that is made available via several feeder modules or
MTC levels is empty at all the feeder modules or MTC levels with
the exception of one feeder module or MTC level.
This means that:
–The last feeder module or the last MTC level is used
or
– For a component that is only still available at one feeder
module or one MTC level:
