6.3.4 Installation notes for the MTC
On the placement machines X4, X3 and X2 an MTC may be docked at locations 2 and 4 in place
of the component trolley. To do this, the docking unit installed for the component trolley must be
replaced with the docking unit for the MTC. If you use the MTC at another location, the location
that becomes free may be set up with a component trolley once more.
PLEASE NOTE 6
For the X2/X3/X4 machines:
– The SpeedStar cannot be used in the vicinity of locations at which an MTC is docked.

For the X4 and X3 machines:
– The standard nozzle changer for the TwinStar cannot be used with a combination of TwinStar
and MTC in placement areas with two gantries. For this situation, there is a nozzle changer
in the placement area with two gantries (see Section 6.1.3.7
, page 380).
– An MTC cannot be installed in placement areas with two gantries and 2 CPP heads.
– In placement areas with two gantries, 1 CPP head and 1 TwinStar, the MTC can only be in-
stalled at the location that is within the gantry range of the TwinStar.
For the X2 machines:
– No nozzle changer can be installed at location 4 in conjunction with the MTC.
