Caution and Warning

Limited Warranty

Hitachi represents and warrants the following based on the speciﬁcations in the instruction

manual as long as this machine is used in accordance with the provided instructions.

(1) Coverage

Should the machine fail or malfunction because of a manufacturing defect in

materials or workmanship, we will repair it free of charge.

(2) Warranty Period

The machine is warranted in normal use for a period of one year (not later than

twelve months) from the date of installation.

(3) Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in the following cases even within the warranty period.

(a)

Damage caused by failure to provide the speciﬁed suitable installation, operating

environment, or maintenance for the machine.

(b) Damage caused by failure to use the speciﬁed power source (voltage and

frequency), including abnormal power supply.

(d) Damage caused by corrosions in electrical circuits and deterioration of optical

elements due to ambient air mixed with strong corrosive gas.

(e) Damage caused by hardware, software, and auxiliaries that are not provided by

us.

(f) Damage caused by failure to handle or maintain the machine properly.

(g) Damage caused by any repair work performed by any party other than our

company.

(h) Damage caused by failure to move or transport the machine properly after

installation.

(i) Damage caused by unapproved disassembly, modiﬁcation, or machine transfer

to another place.

(j) Damage caused by a Force Majeure such as, but not limited to, ﬁre, earthquake,

storm, ood, lightning, strike, labor dispute, riots, crimes, terrorism, war,

radioactive contamination, toxic substance, or any other incident beyond our

reasonable control.

(k) Damage caused by a computer virus.

(l) The system is broken down due to the use of parts purchased through a sales

route other than the ones authorized by our company (The maintenance parts

dealing companies are speciﬁed by our company).

In no event shall Hitachi be liable for any warranty other than the express one here

and any implied warranties of merchantability or ﬁtness for any particular purpose.

In addition, Hitachi is not liable for any direct or indirect loss or damages

whatsoever, whether based upon express or implied warranty.

No oral or written information, or advice/suggestion given by Hitachi (its executives,

employees, agencies and all concerned) to the original purchaser or a third party

shall create a warranty or obligation to Hitachi, regarding the conformity with the

performance of the machine. Formally approved information or advice/suggestion

are excluded.

Hitachi is not responsible for any damage to the provided application software or

loss of data, arising from any damage to this machine.
