0.1 General Comments

This service manual is a handbook and reference work for the maintenance and repair of SIPLACE 80S/F and

G placement machines. Many functions are identical for the two machines and will be described here taking

the SIPLACE 80S machine as basis. In other words, functions which are described for the SIPLACE 80S

machine will also apply to the SIPLACE 80F and G machines. When functions and so on differ for the

SIPLACE 80F or G this will be pointed out expressly in the corresponding sections of this service manual.

0.1.1 About the Service Manual

At the present moment in time this service manual does not yet cover all of the functions of the machine. How-

ever the service manual is being constantly updated and added to. In this connection please refer to the notes

on additions to be found in the documentation list which is sent with the Product Info.

WARNING

Unless you have a detailed knowledge of the corresponding parts of the service manual do not carry out any

repair or maintenance work on the machine.

Only appropriately trained and qualified personnel should carry out servicing work on the machine.

Do not fail to read and comply with all WARNING, CAUTION and DANGER notes, especially the safety

instructions in Section 1 and separate notes in other sections.

NOTE

We should like to point out that the contents of this service manual do not form part of any previous or existing

agreement, commitment or legal relationship nor alters such. All obligations on the part of Siemens AG derive

from the sale contract in question which also contains complete and generally applicable warranties. These
