3 System Requirements
Notes
SIPLACE Pro requires an NTFS partition to be installed on. FAT or FAT32 file
systems are not supported.
SIPLACE Pro 9.3 requires the license manager 2.2 SP2 for its operation.
You need an upgrade license to upgrade from previous versions to SIPLACE
Pro 9.3. Previous licenses remain valid. New options may require new licenses.
The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required.
With the installation of SIPLACE Pro it is not possible to use operating systems
or database versions that are no longer supported:
Windows 2000 Server/ Windows 2000 Professional and former versions,
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP4/ MSDE SP4 and former versions.
A mixed operation of different SQL server versions (2005 / 2008) is not
supported.
The Support Media DVD included in the installation package checks the
necessary system requirements of your system and installs these. Amongst
others e.g. Microsoft .NET Framework, the License Manager and the Error
Reporting tool.
The use of the Support Media V1.12 is obligatory.

Former SIPLACE Pro Versions
SIPLACE Pro 9.3 is compatible with SIPLACE Pro 1.x, 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x including all
released Hotfixes and Service Packs.
Note
SIPLACE Pro 9.2 installations are automatically removed when you install SIPLACE Pro
9.3.
For installations before version 8.0 a corresponding message is displayed stating that
SIPLACE Pro has to be de-installed manually using the Control Panel.
Note
During the installation, your SIPLACE Pro databases are automatically updated to the
SIPLACE Pro 9.3 data format.
Data model export files (XML files) of previous SIPLACE Pro versions can be imported
from SIPLACE Pro 2.0 onward only.
Information on the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI.Net)
SIPLACE Pro version 8.0 was the last version supporting the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI.Net). From
SIPLACE Pro version 9.2, SIPLACE OIB replaces the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI.Net).
