5.3.15 Nozzle Report
Using the Nozzle reports, it is possible to create a documentation of a single nozzle and a list of
nozzles.
In the list of several nozzles up to ten attributes can be selected. The nozzle attributes to be shown
can be changed in the report details.
The report can be started via the context menu in the structure view.
5.3.16 Warnings as Errors
All warning messages of the Optimizer can be upgraded to an error or downgraded to a warning
again.

6 Limitations
6.1 Restrictions
A complete Line computer data import of big customer data may take long (up to several hours),
depending on the amount of data and the computer system used.
Linear 10 and 15 reserves cannot be combined on the same linear feeder.
When importing setup files (.rt files) from the line computer, you cannot import more than one tray
per level. In case you import more than one tray per level, you have to create them manually in
SIPLACE Pro.
Note:
SIPLACE Pro object names (e.g., Recipe) must not exceed 125 ASCII characters
(including folder names). If the station software is 504 or older, these names are
shortened to 20 ASCII characters.
In a multi-client scenario, when different users optimize the same job at the same time, the last
successfully finished job will overwrite all associated recipes.
The operator has to put Manual Tray Carriers (Carrier 30, Carrier 51, Carrier X and Carrier SX)
manually in the initial setup.
If you work with a reduced acceleration for a component shape you have a special case and the
accuracy of 5% of the simulated Optimizer production time is not kept.
The Optimizer does not check if the tray size is bigger than the carrier.
The WPC can take up to 10 different component types per level. This does not apply to machines
from station SW version 70x upwards.
6.2 Known Issues/Problems (General)
Station-wise Download
When the line control server is rebooted, station-wise downloading will be cancelled. After
rebooting, you will need to perform a complete line download to restart production.
Station-wise downloading supports setup changes in asynchronous dual operation only with the
same definition at both lanes.
Station-wise downloading supports synchronous dual operation as of station SW version 704.
Export of Restrictions from SIPLACE Pro to the Line Computer
It is possible to export restrictions from SIPLACE Pro 2.0 Service Pack 1 onwards to the line
computer. Because of data structure differences line computer and SIPLACE Pro behave differently.
The two main differences are:
1. The line computer forces you to select a specific recipe and the created restriction is based on this
recipe only.
In SIPLACE Pro, however, you are free to use every restriction with any recipe in any job. The line
computer cannot identify to which recipe the restriction belongs and therefore the line computer
does not know where to save the restriction.

2. On the line computer, within each restriction (i.e. for each recipe), you either bind specific
components or component shapes with their default feeders on tables and machines or you
exclude them. It is only possible to bind or exclude component shapes and components together
with the feeders, because the feeder is part of the data set.
In SIPLACE Pro, however, components, component shapes and feeders can be bound to or
excluded from a table or a machine. Here, the feeder is missing in the restriction.
The only restrictions that can be exported from SIPLACE Pro are the transport side (right or left) and
the default feeder that is assigned to each component or component shape. Proceed as follows:
1. Open a new restriction and add all relevant components and component shapes.
2. Open each added object and add the default feeder if this is not present.
3. Back in the Restriction Editor, add a new line for each feeder. Please assign the feeder (target
[station], right or left machine side [conveyer lane]).
Result: You should now have one line per component, component shape and feeder.
All new entries are immediately saved in the database.
Note
Make sure that you choose the same targets and sub targets for all objects
(Component, Component Shape, and Feeder).
Note
You can only export the right or left machine side (conveyor lane) if "All", "Left" or
"Right" is selected.
4. Start the Line Computer Export (Tools -> Export).
In the first screen, choose a destination path and the name for the restriction.
5. In the rest of the Line Computer Export, choose the Components and Component Shapes you
want added to the .ri file.
Note:
Be sure to check the box marked "Update feeder information (.ri)" If you don't check the
box and select these objects, then the new information will not be added to the .ri file.
6. When the export is complete, the result is shown in the notification window.
