2. On the line computer, within each restriction (i.e. for each recipe), you either bind specific
components or component shapes with their default feeders on tables and machines or you
exclude them. It is only possible to bind or exclude component shapes and components together
with the feeders, because the feeder is part of the data set.
In SIPLACE Pro, however, components, component shapes and feeders can be bound to or
excluded from a table or a machine. Here, the feeder is missing in the restriction.
The only restrictions that can be exported from SIPLACE Pro are the transport side (right or left) and
the default feeder that is assigned to each component or component shape. Proceed as follows:
1. Open a new restriction and add all relevant components and component shapes.
2. Open each added object and add the default feeder if this is not present.
3. Back in the Restriction Editor, add a new line for each feeder. Please assign the feeder (target
[station], right or left machine side [conveyer lane]).
Result: You should now have one line per component, component shape and feeder.
All new entries are immediately saved in the database.
Note
Make sure that you choose the same targets and sub targets for all objects
(Component, Component Shape, and Feeder).
Note
You can only export the right or left machine side (conveyor lane) if "All", "Left" or
"Right" is selected.
4. Start the Line Computer Export (Tools -> Export).
In the first screen, choose a destination path and the name for the restriction.
5. In the rest of the Line Computer Export, choose the Components and Component Shapes you
want added to the .ri file.
Note:
Be sure to check the box marked "Update feeder information (.ri)" If you don't check the
box and select these objects, then the new information will not be added to the .ri file.
6. When the export is complete, the result is shown in the notification window.

Miscellaneous
From SIPLACE Pro 2.0 onwards there is no body offset (x, y) in the component shape description.
With the body offset in former versions you could move the basic body of the component shape.
The following restrictions should be considered:
o Station software >= 505
All databases from SIPLACE Pro 1.4.x.x are adapted to SIPLACE Pro 3.0. The body
offset is automatically considered in the pickup position.
o Station software <= 504
Stations with this station software do not support any pickup position. Setups with
component shapes that are described in SIPLACE Pro 1.4.x.x with a body offset have
to be adapted manually after an upgrade to SIPLACE Pro 3.0.
If you modify a component package values after assigning them to a component, then these values
will not be updated for the specific component.
Workaround: Re-assign the component package to the component after modifying component
package values.
ASCII Centroid Import
If Component Shapes are selected in the ASCII Centroid Import Wizard, all the existing links between
Components and Component Shapes will be overwritten with the imported information.
Printing SIPLACE Pro Reports
The generated reports can be sorted by various criteria (such as placement list etc.). Within the
printing preview the sort criteria can be modified as well.
Note:
If you have printing problems when printing reports please check your specific printer
properties (e.g. borderless printout).
Backup of System Feeder Inventory
When upgrading SIPLACE Pro (starting with SIPLACE Pro 3.0) an updated system feeder inventory is
imported (SystemFeederInventory.xml) in order to consider all new feeder types. The feeder inventory
that is already existing in SIPLACE is renamed (Backup of System Feeder Inventory_X). All existing
jobs are not changed.
All new jobs contain the updated (newly imported) feeder inventory.

6.3 Troubleshooting
Error Reporting Tool
The error report enables you to send details of errors occurring in SIPLACE Pro to the service
department. For further information please refer to chapter 8.3 Information on the SIPLACE Net Error
Reporter Service on page 58 and to the online help as well as to the Support Media DVD.
Error Reports with the SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service
The SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service (on the Support Media DVD) can be started as follows:
Start / Programs / SIPLACE Net / Enterprise Service / SIPLACE Net Error Reporter Service or
via
Help / Error Reporting in the menu for the GUIs.
Follow the instructions on the screen. Thanks a lot for your support.
Problem Solving in Workgroup Mode
If you operate SIPLACE Pro in workgroup mode and if e. g. during the startup of the SIPLACE Pro
LineControl GUI application a message is displayed stating that:
"It was not possible to establish a connection to the SIPLACE Pro Interface. The cause for the error
was: Unknown error (0x80004005)."
Please check, if the following password requirements are met:
the local user data must also be set up on the workgroup server,
the local user must have the same password as on the workgroup server.
