1.3 Qualification and training of personnel
Personnel used for operation, preventive maintenance, inspection and installation must hold the
relevant qualifications for the job. The user must keep tight control over their responsibilities, as-
signment and supervision. Any employee who does not have the relevant training must be trained
and given appropriate instruction. The instruction is to be given by trained and authorized person-
nel.

Operation of system only by qualified personnel
Only appropriately qualified staff may start up, operate or otherwise work on the ma-
chine.
The qualification must be proven by means of training courses or instruction for the per-
sonnel.

1.4 Operator levels
Certain functions or menus may only be executed or accessed by specially trained personnel. A
differentiation is made between the following operator levels:
Production
Advanced production
–Service
The operator levels "Advanced production" and "Service" can be password protected.
Production
This operator level includes those people who have been trained to operate the machine. These
people are authorized to use any functions associated with operating the machine and may call
up any menus needed to use the machine.
Advanced production
People with this operator level have completed special training and are authorized to perform
setup tasks e.g. creating setup configurations or determining Vision parameters etc.
Machine service
People with this operator level are specially trained technicians at the customer end, who can, for
example, define machine option settings.
