5.1.1 Activity level "Basic production"
5.1.1.1 Tasks
Customers should be given the activity level Basic production to perform the following tasks:
– Checking the assignment of components to the feeder modules
To do this, a setup check is to be carried out several times a day, preferably at the start
of a shift, to make sure that the correct components are set up.
– Supplying the feeder modules with sufficient components
– Promptly refilling the components and splicing the tapes
– Promptly emptying the cover foil container (e.g. after each splicing procedure)
– Checking to make sure that the components are in their correct pickup positions (see fig. 5.14
- 1)
– Checking the material flow to the PCBs on the input conveyor (provide) and output conveyor
(remove).
– Checking the setup quality.
– Random sampling of the PCBs before they enter the soldering furnace.
– Observing the ESD regulations.
– Observing the fault displays and messages at the station and passing the information on to
the line engineer if necessary.
– Carrying out the cleaning and checking.
5.1.1.2 Tools and equipment
All operators are to be equipped with the tools listed in the following.
Every operator of the machine requires:
– Erasers or fiberglass pens to remove fiducials
– Indelible pens for marking the tracks
– Vacuum cleaner with suitable nozzle

5.1.2 Operator level "Advanced production"
5.1.2.1 Tasks
Customers should be given the activity level Advanced production to perform the following tasks:
– Acting as a contact for the operators
– Maintaining the machine log book
– Monitoring and carrying out cleaning and checking at the specified intervals
– Monitoring the workplace to ensure that it is clean and safe
– Monitoring conformity with ESD regulations
– Carrying out quality control
– Following up and reporting fault messages
– Making sure that errors have been eliminated
– Providing all materials required to produce the job in a timely manner, such as
–PCBs
– Splicing materials
– Soldering paste
– Components
– Feeder modules, etc.
– Setting up the station for a new production batch
– Checking the feeder module settings:
– Feeder pitch
– Pickup position
– Checking the management data
– Data maintenance
– Data backup
– Preparing CAD files
– Creating and calibrating vision data (teaching)
– Performing the SIPLACE Station Programming

5.1.3.1 Tasks
Customers should be given the activity level Machine service to perform the following tasks:
– Mounting replacement parts
– Editing machine data
– Changing machine options
– Calibrating the machine
– Test bench inspection
