Troubleshooting
The section on troubleshooting provides guidance for problems
with the inspection system.
The following malfunction areas are covered:
Hardware (Page 164)
Software (Page 164)
PCB transport (Page 165)
Description of the malfunctions table
Malfunctions are listed in a table containing the following columns:
Problem/Message: contains the problem description.
Diagnosis: contains possible causes of the malfunction, which
should be treated in the order they are given.
Countermeasure: contains instructions for solving the malfunc-
tion.
If the malfunction cannot be resolved after all the countermea-
sures are carried out, notify the person responsible for the system
and if necessary, the Viscom AG also, see „Customer Support“
(Page 167).

1 Close all the doors.
2 Press the ON button.
The system computer
doesn't start.
Switch on the UPS.
The monitor screen

Perform these steps:
1 Switch on the monitor.
2 Check the monitor cable.

Perform these steps:
1 Close all the doors.

PCB transport
In the following table, PCB transport malfunctions are listed.

PCBs are not
infed.
PCB is stuck inside. Perform these steps:
1 Actuate the STOP mode.
2 Remove the PCB from the
transport, see „Releasing
the PCB clamping of the
AXI transport track“
(Page 152).
3 If necessary, adjust the
transport width, see
„Installation“ > „Adjusting
the transport track width“
(Page 86).
PCB is not transferred
from external transport
conveyor.
Check the external conveyor
and switch it on.
Barcode is not read. Perform these steps:
1 Check the power supply to
the scanner.
2 Check the position of the
PCB in the transport
system.
3 Check the PCB barcode.
Check the
SMEMA/SV70.
Connect the SMEMA/SV70,
see „Installation“ >
„Connecting SMEMA/SV70“
(Page 89).
PCBs are not
outfed.
PCB is stuck inside. Perform these steps:
