Hazardous Light Radiation
The following safety instructions must be observed:
Redirected LED radiation from the risk group 2 LEDs used in
the camera module exists in the area of the side openings of
the system. There is a hazard of injury to the eyesight when
the openings are not protected by a suitable covering or in-
/outfeed components.
If the housing of the camera head is opened during mainte-
nance work, protective glasses must be worn.
There is a hazard of injury to the eyesight in the area of the
right side opening and when the rear door is opened or closed,
due to the laser class 1 LEDs in the front part of the system
between the AOI and AXI transport tracks and to the right of
the AXI transport track.
Fiber optic cables with a light that is invisible to the human eye
are used for the data transmission between sensor head and
system computer. For safety reasons do not look into the fiber
optic cable openings with naked eyes or other optical devices.
Hazardous magnetism
The following safety instructions must be observed:
The positioning unit contains strong permanent magnets. The
magnetic field of the magnetic track is very strong and can
disrupt the operation of life-sustaining medical devices (e.g.
heart pacemakers); compliance with the BGV B11 (German
Federal Association of Health and Consumer Information) is
required.
Chemical hazard
The X-ray output window of the sealed X-ray tube consists of
beryllium. The following safety specifications must be met when
using the sealed X-ray tube:
Only persons who have previously been trained to work with
Beryllium and its compounds are allowed to use this inspection
system.
For open handling, avoid all contact.
Wear protective gloves according to EN 388.
Pay attention to cleanliness at the workplace.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling beryllium.
It is forbidden to handle beryllium mechanically (sawing,
drilling, grinding, etc.)
Contact a doctor immediately if you think you came into
contact with beryllium or if you feel ill and tell him you have
handled beryllium.
