7.1.4 Conveyor and Sensor Problems – Tray Feed Cycle Troubleshooting

A tray on the conveyor
does not reach the “stop at
end” or “ready” sensor.
(You should see a green
LED on the sensor.)
A tray may be improp-
erly located in the
feeder or warped.
► Remove the tray and push the Reset button.
Something may be
blocking the free mo-
tion of the tray on the
conveyor.
► Remove the tray and any obstruction, then
push the
► Reset button.
The conveyor belts
may be dirty and slip-
ping.
► Clean the conveyor belts with alcohol.
The “stop at end” or
“ready” sensor is made be-
fore the “conveyor slow
down” sensor.
The flag on the “ready”
Sensor may be stick-
ing.
► Check LED 4 and free up the mechanism.
The t ray fr om the maga-

► Check for anything blocking the motion of the

► Clean the belts with alcohol.

of the tray as the tray is
pushed onto the conveyor.
The action of the out
feed pusher may be
too quick.
► Check the settings of the flow controls.
The dies are knocked out
of the tray as the tray
reaches the end of the
conveyor.
The tray may be slow-
ing down too quickly
during the “forward
slow down” delay.
► Check the setting for the forward slow down
delay.
The forward slow-
down sensor may not
be working.
► Check LED 3 and the sensor.
The tray clamp may
be moving too quickly.
► Check the setting of the flow controls.
The belt guides may
be out of alignment,
causing the trays to
bounce.
► Check the alignment.
