Check the following points:
► The pneumatic rotary supply and the Z
axis must be centered in their guidance
(1)

► The short hose must always remain
against the pneumatic rotary supply
stopper.
Press or move the hose on the elbow
to set its position.
Press the hose onto the elbow connec-
tion or away from it, until the axis is po-
sitioned in the center.
► The short hose must also run horizont-
ally(2)
to the elbow, without tension.
 CAUTION!
An eccentric position of the Z axis can
alter the balance of forces and lead to
placement errors.

► Reconnect the long hose at the top.
► Fit the buffer on the return unit.

► Fit the control cable.

4.4.1.2 Replacement of elbow version 2
NOTICE
Contamination
When replacing this hose, the strain relief should be cleaned with a pipe cleaner and the
pneumatic rotary supply should be replaced. See also the SIPLACE Job Card Preventive
Maintenance TwinHead [00197604-xx] for details.
► Dismantle the buffer on the return unit.
3.1 "Replacing the return unit buffer" [}17]

► Pull the hose(2) off the pneumatic
rotary supply(1)
and off the elbow.
► Push the new hose as far as the stop-
per onto the pneumatic rotary supply.
► Fit the new hose on the elbow.
 CAUTION!
The new hose must be mounted abso-
lutely twist-free!

► Fit the buffer on the return unit.

Removal
► Dismantle the buffer on the return unit.

► Dismantle the control cable.

► Remove the screw(1) fastening the
pipe clamp(2)
and then remove the
pipe clamp.
Installation
► For assembly, refit the pipe clamp and fix into place with the fastening screw. Lift the pipe
clamp slightly so that the elbow can still be moved freely and is not clamped tight.
NOTICE
Hose
During assembly, also observe section 4.4.1 "Replacing the silicone hose
4.5x2.5x26" [}37] where necessary.
► Fit the control cable.
