PRESS-FIT TECHNOLOGY
The VERSAFIT 500 is an effective and highly
flexible inline system for electronic assembly
production in power electronics using press-
fit technology. The core of the system is
a servo-electric press cylinder that can be
precisely controlled and monitored in terms
of force and distance. The electronic
assemblies are positioned under the press
tool via an X/Y table, which also serves as
the conveyor system for the assemblies.
To meet demands for high flexibility, the
VERSAFIT 500 has a magazine for a wide
variety of press-fit tools. The VERSAFIT
500's control system and software ensure
complete process control of the press-fit
process.
The symbiosis of Kurtz Ersa's many years of
experience in soldering machine construc-
tion with the challenges of automated, inline
press-fit technology offers customers com-
pletely new possibilities in the design and
manufacture of electronic assemblies.

The VERSAPRINT 2 TIM offers all the
advantages of stencil printing combined
with precise process parameters for
optimal processing of thermal pastes.
PRESS-FIT TECHNOLOGY
STENCIL PRINTING
Thus, a reproducible volume application is
achieved that can also be monitored using
the printer's integrated inspection system.
The semi-automatic VERSAFIT ONE for
the press-fit assembly of IGBT modules or
high-pole connectors in power electronics
combines maximum precision with a
compact design and excellent price-
performance ratio. It offers 100% process
monitoring at benchmark level – including
force-distance measurement and real-
time quality evaluation.
With clearance heights of 100 mm at
the top and 120 mm at the bottom, it
processes assemblies up to 610 x 610
mm. The robust, user-friendly technology
guarantees the highest quality without
thermal stress or flux. The result: lowest
contact resistance and high-load con-
nections. As a semi-automatic press-fit
system, the VERSAFIT ONE bridges the
gap between manual pressing and fully
automated lines. It is suitable for appli-
cations in photovoltaics, e-mobility and
energy and charging infrastructure.
