: Loosen the screws for the cable guiding chain on both sides.
: Remove the cable guiding chain together with the nylon tape.

: Compare the lengths of the new and old cable guide chain. If they are not exactly the same,
the air hoses MUST be replaced as well.

If this is not the case, the air hoses MUST be replaced as well, otherwise they will not be long
enough to allow them to be connected correctly. 2

: Loosen the two screws on the strain relief for the Y-axis cable and hose carrier.

: Loosen the screw(s) on the hose clip(s) and keep them both on one side (see photograph).
: Loosen the clamp for the compressed air hoses and detach the hoses.

: Remove the cover from the large axis conversion board (see photograph).
: Detach all the connectors from the board.

: Remove the three pins of the strain relief using a suitable tool (e.g. grooved hammer head).

Do not use pliers to do this, otherwise the surface of the fixing pins or the ribbon cable might be
damaged. 2

: Remove the 3 cable clamp on the gantry arm.
